10 YEARS: 'So Long, Goodbye' Performance Clip Available
May 28, 2008Fan-filmed video footage of Knoxville, Tennessee's 10 YEARS performing the new song "So Long, Goodbye" during a recent concert can be viewed below.
10 YEARS was the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, on May 12, 2008. The program is now available for streaming at this location.
10 YEARS's sophomore effort was released on May 13, titled "Division". The group spent over a year writing and recording the follow-up to its 2005 debut, "The Autumn Effect", scrapping some initial work with one producer and starting over with another. Bassist Lewis Cosby told The Pulse of Radio he thinks the new CD reflects a period of intense growth for the group. "I honestly think that we've matured a lot, you know," he said. "This is, like, not our first rodeo anymore now. I think when we first came out and started touring, you know, we were naive and, you know, when we first started doing interviews and stuff we kind of held back, and now we're just kind of being ourselves. And I just feel a lot more comfortable in this skin now as a professional musician, if you want to call it."
10 YEARS ultimately recorded the album with producer Rick Parashar, who worked on PEARL JAM's classic 1991 debut, "Ten".
One tune on "Division", titled "Focus", was co-written with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and ARMY OF ANYONE guitarist Dean DeLeo.
The video for the album's first single, "Beautiful", takes a satirical look at what a press release called "the lengths the paparazzi and celebrities go through to notice each other in the current 'Gotcha!' game of celebrity journalism."
10 YEARS is scheduled to appear on LINKIN PARK's Projekt Revolution tour this summer, which begins on July 16 in Boston.
